I was messing around in my studio the other day and did some creative self portraits inspired by butterfies. The last photo in this set is a double exposure self portrait done in photoshop, this was my first time doing a digital double exposure. I really like how it turned out and will be doing more double exposures.

Wind is a powerful force that can change landscapes, create intense sounds and lift a person off their feet. Remember to hold on when the gust arrives!

Falling to earth may seem dangerous but when it’s in a beautiful place like this, fear is replaced with excitement.

The lady in the water is a reflection of how people and nature can intermingle so peacefully.

It’s hard to defy gravity but this subject does it quite well. It’s that moment in a dream right before you hit the ground and jump up out of bed.

Starfish are beautiful and I was inspired by one I found so I created this image. I wanted this image to have the same colors and texture of the starfish.

I love how this image turned out. I’m always battling with my own personal demons and that is the inspiration for this photo.

Isn’t life under the sun just a crazy dream

I wanted to create some surreal portraits so I took a hike in the Santa Monica mountains late in the afternoon. At the top of the mountain I felt so close to the moon. I wanted to create a feeling of being pulled away from earth by the gravity of the moon. This was my favorite photo of the day I hope you enjoy it.

Title: Moon… beam me up
Location: Newbury Park, California
Camera:NIKON D80

I took this photo down in the canyon. Down in the canyons all you want to find is some warm sunlight.

I love how this photo turned out. I always feel so small when I’m hiking in the Santa Monica mountains and wanted to show that in this image. We are all so small on this big earth.

I am somebody

A few months ago I joined an amazing group of photographers called “Fine Art Photography”. The group is geared towards fine art portraits. Joining this group has inspired me to start sharing and creating fine art portraits. I hope you enjoy this surreal photo.
