These small “Hen and chicks” succulents are actually quite popular in Southern California, and can be as small as dime.

I was messing around in my studio the other day and did some creative self portraits inspired by butterfies. The last photo in this set is a double exposure self portrait done in photoshop, this was my first time doing a digital double exposure. I really like how it turned out and will be doing more double exposures.

A deep and vibrant purple can almost look black, however against the sun light and yellow stems, it’s one of the most dark purple flowers I’ve seen yet.

Some people don’t take the time to really get close to plants and examine them, like this one for example. While it may be drooping, it is quite the beauty with it’s reds, greens, and yellows.

This purple flower was beautiful from top to bottom, but one of the most unique things about it is the stems that come from the bottom, just inviting certain bees!

Recently I have found bees crawling on the sand near the ocean, and managed to capture this one while perfectly still. Quite a rare feat to do!
