Beach walk to the lighthouse

The old light house hiding behind the hill of sand shows the test of time, and how structures can make an impact on environment.

The other side of the beach offers an amazing view of the Boney Mountains, and the dramatic turn to flat land.

I love taking macro pictures of sea weed bulbs, they tend to look quite alien.

Recently I have found bees crawling on the sand near the ocean, and managed to capture this one while perfectly still. Quite a rare feat to do!

It’s amazing what you can find when you simply keep an eye out, like these flowers for example. One would think they belong on a different planet, but they are very much on Earth.

Title: Arbutus marina flower

I love the color purple and this flower stood out among the rest, and as you can see, it is VERY vibrant against the background.

Rustic mushroom photography

These photos were also taken at Seaside Garden, however flowers weren’t the topic this time. It took quite some time to find various mushrooms after the recent rain storm in the area. The pay off was well worth the search.

These tiny bulbed mushrooms were hidden in brush, looking a little burned and withered but still pretty nonetheless.

Often times we find mushrooms in dark and dank places, but these were more out in the open considering the environment. What caught my eye was the pack of bulbous mushrooms looking pristine except for small specs of dirt.

A little sun behind the flat capped mushrooms show you just how close these were to being exposed, however not all mushrooms require darkness to thrive.

You tend to notice detail in leaves when big photos present them, and this leaf can be best described as fuzzy and oddly shaped, having square edges compared to smooth, round edges that most leaves have.

You can practically feel the dew drops on this bright red plant, beading ever so slightly next to each other where one gently breeze can knock the water right off. I love capturing moments like this.

I love using my macro lense because it offers a perspective that normally cannot be picked up by the human eye, like magnifying unique bubbles on the sand.

This lone crab was crawling around on the beach, scared but curious at the lense I was pointing at it. Luckily it stood still for a second for me to capture.

Shades of pink floral blooms

Carpet coral blooms from late spring through fall and is a genuinely easy-care groundcover rose. The flower blooms don’t fade in the sun instead their shade deepens as they age, as you can see this rose is a deep rich coral-red color.
