Eroding beach

The beach in Port Hueneme is eroding away. The other night I heard a loud crashing noise outside of my house, it was the sidewalk and beach wall cracking and falling from being hit by huge waves. The city is working with coastal engineers and regulatory agencies on emergency measures to prevent seawater from damaging property. This city has been in need of sand for almost 4 years…. Sand is the solution. The beach continues to wash away, as much as 5 to 10 feet a week the city can’t ignore this issue any longer.
